Quilt Market Goodies

While at Market last week, I treated myself to these little lovelies. Now, I had never been to Sample Spree, but I had heard the stories (legends, even, if you will....) of throngs, masses of anxious shoppers lining up to get in... The line was probably a quarter of a mile long (true story...) I managed to get to the Moda table and scoop up these goodies....
And a free tote...
And I got these lovely fat quarters at the Lecien table. They are a Japanese company which you will probably be seeing more of in the quilt shops. My pal Brenda at Acorn Quilt and Gift Company is designing a quilt or 2 for them. I'm sure it will be gorgeous and romantic, like the rest of her designs...
The night before the show opened, we were walking around, and we went by Amy Butler's booth. My daughter commented on the booth, because she is a big Amy Butler fan. So I said, well you know, that IS Amy in the booth, and daughter couldn't believe it. So we went back and got an autograph and daughter was thrilled to meet her favorite "quilting celebrity"! Too bad I didn't have my camera! And while I was attending to my booth at the show, meeting all kinds of fun and interesting people, hubby and daughter ventured out into the city Pittsburgh for some photo taking.
Even though we got home over a week ago, we just finally got all of the boxes put away, and now it is time to start thinking about.... the next time!

  1. I am a huge Lecien fan. One of our local shop carries a pretty good variety. I am designing a quilt right now with some of the Mrs. March line. I am jealous of your tote.

  2. How fun! And what beautiful fabrics you came home with! Can't wait to see what you do with them.

  3. Oh, it sounds like you had such fun! I love your fabrics! So great your daughter was with you too!
