Daisy has been in the hospital since Saturday night. I rushed her to the veterinary emergency room (thank goodness, we have one about 25 minutes away) at about 10 pm because she just didn't look right to me, and her ears and gums were very pale. She was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia, which means that her immune system has gone haywire and is attacking her platelets. She is at a dangerous risk for hemorrhage. Please pray for her (and us!) We are a little worried. At least she is feeling well, not acting sick. But as I said, her platelets are so low that the vet said that even vigorous barking could set off bleeding. I am going to visit her today and take her some homemade food (chicken and brown rice and veggies). I will be so happy to see her. Hope she can come home soon.
Adding her and you to my prayer list, and yes, I really do pray for animals!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry your little pup is sick. I hope she recovers quickly and that she enjoyed that food you took her.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor little pup. Hoping for a full, quick recovery.

I will pray for your pup. I know how difficult it is to see our beloved pets hurting. She'll be so happy to see you.
ReplyDeleteI totally believe in praying for our pets. My dad had a lab that was older but not "old old." She got real sick out of nowhere one day. The vet said she had cancer and only had 2 days to live. My dad and I prayed over her (even annointed her with oil) and asked the Lord to heal her. He did. She lived a VERY healthy, happy, cancer free 7 more years and passed due to old age. So yes, I will pray the Lord heals your Daisy. You all are in my prayers too-I know this is a hard time for you.

Prayers going up for Daisy & your family. . . I'm so glad that you acted on your concern that she wasn't 'right'. It's so hard with your little furry kids - isn't it!? They can't tell you with words - so they count on us watching them & acting on their behalf.
ReplyDelete(((Hugs))) for you & Daisy too!

Thanking the Lord that the blog world carries us to places where we can pray for others...and their beloved pets!
ReplyDeletePoor little darling! Hope she soon recovers. Love and light sent your way.
ReplyDeleteOh Jacquelynne ~ I will definitely be praying for you and your pup. I hope she starts feeling better soon and that she'll be back home with you.
