Friday we went to a wedding, kicked off our shoes (literally) and danced the night away (OK not the whole night, just till about 11- but that is pretty late for us!)
Saturday we managed to get up by 7 and go to the flea market and produce stand. I love the produce stand- it is one of my favorite parts of summer! All the colors and textures, so beautiful. And tasty....
Hello, tomatoes! I can't wait to make fresh salsa out of you! And maybe some bruschetta, too!
(I love asparagus on the grill!)
I don't really care for radishes, but the little "bouquets" sure are cute.
Local strawberries at this time of year are THE BEST.
I love, love, love lemon. In everything.
Daughter made a Foccacia with fresh rosemary from our garden. Yum. (find the recipe here).
I also managed to start a new Christmas project using wool and my Joy, Love, Peace, Noel fabric.
Hope you had a good weekend, too.
P.S. Stop by my friend Sandi's blog for a giveaway and to celebrate her 3rd Anniversary of blogging. I know you will really like her blog- she is a very busy, talented, generous lady!!!
Oh, all that produce looks so yummy! I, too, think radish bouguets look kind of pretty for a vegetable.....but I don't like the taste of them, though. Give me those strawberries. Yummmy! Same goes for that focaccia bread. I may give the recipe a try. Thanks for the "shout-out" about my blogging anniversary. Blogland is quiet. I think everyone is enjoying these summer days anywhere but at the computer. :-) Too hot here to be outdoors. So glad for AC!
ReplyDeleteIn the first picture you look STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL! WOW!
ReplyDeleteRobin- You are too cute and kind!! I think I may owe some of my "stunning beauty" to low lighting and a camera phone!! ha ha.
