Wedding Plans

It's been a busy couple of days, getting ready for the wedding. A date has been set for June 8, 2012. We have a venue for the reception- it is the renovated carriage house of a historic mansion with beautiful gardens. I think it's going to be lovely:

Now we are looking for a church. Ideally, it will be close to the reception place, since the wedding will be on a Friday evening, and we don't want guests stuck in city traffic. A few of the options we are looking at:

So many details! What I am really looking forward to is the dress shopping! Daughter actually tried on my wedding dress the other day. It has been sealed up in a box since 1989. She doesn't want to wear it (too 1980's for her!), but maybe she will use a bit of the lace or trim

  1. You could incorporate some bits of your wedding gown in a ring-bearer's pillow and maybe a flower girl basket. Of course, that's assuming she has either and also, that you want to cut up your dress. My mother had a yard of the lace left-over from my dress which she made in 1968. I kept it and when our daughter got married, I used it in the dress I made for her. :-) They are both so pretty and no girls in the family to pass them on to. :-( Have fun with all the planning that will go into this event. It will be fun and there will be bumps but it will still be a joy-filled journey!

  2. Congratulations to the mother-of-the-bride-to-be!!! What an exciting time. Your plans are already looking Wonderful!! Love all the photos of the quilt market. Lucky you who gets to see everything first!!!

  3. The different venues you share are awesome to look.Arrangement of wedding was simply good. I understand that you are busy in planning the arrangements of wedding. If you are used a wedding app for planning a wedding, then the stuffs may be reduced.

  4. You've got me stunned and inspired with your choice of location. Looks very much ideal, I can feel the perfect momentum in that perfect scenery. My congratulations to you guys, you perfectly look great together.
